Michele Lee Merdinger, LCSW

Hello, and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Temple University. Prior to earning my MSW, I practiced as a Recreational Therapist, which I continued to incorporate into my practice.

As an LCSW, my experience is working with adolescents and adults, through all stages of life. The therapeutic approach I take is integrative, combining psychodynamic principles and utilizing a strength based, client centered approach to therapy. I have a deep commitment to supporting individuals through grief and loss, chronic illness, mood disorders and trauma, as well as issues related to the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, I practice as an End-of-Life Doula.

Entering therapy can be overwhelming. I hope to assist you as you ease into this process. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of our work together, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can embark on your journey of self-discovery. I am culturally sensitive, gender-affirming, and appreciative of diverse abilities, ensuring that you can embrace your true self. Together, we can navigate the challenges you face and celebrate your strengths.

During my free time you may find me immersed in my garden or elbow deep in baking some treats. My two cats are often found assisting me in my day-to-day ventures.
